1040 solar 12.16 fimrware / segment issue - when will we see a fix

Now that its been acknowledged that their is an issues with segments on the 1040 solar do we have any sort of ETA on the fix? Since owning the device (over two weeks now) I dont have any segments show up. 

Should i down grade from 12.16 to 12.15?
