The Edge 1040 crashes all the time!!!!

My device has been crashing all the time ( no solar version ).

When you connect the USB cable, the screen becomes frozen.
When the computer is restarted, touching the screen causes it to freeze.


I've already restored factory settings.


I've already updated to the latest version 12.16 using USA SAFE MODE.


I don't know what else to do, 

The device is completely unusable.

I'm grateful to anyone who can assist me.

    Constant crashes, workouts cannot be saved, device is unusable. The dealer replaced the first device, but the second is also defective. Firmware: 12.16
    When will the firmware update arrive??
    Please inform users urgently!!!!!!!

    What a hack are you writing here ?

    For sure Garmin developers are keen to solve you imaginary problem , and urgent

    Why do you think this is a hack???? This is a real problem and extremely annoying.....   The dealer said it's not a hardware problem, but a firmware problem.

    The update will arrive sometime.. sometime?

    First, I am sorry that you are experiencing performance issues with your 1040. Would you be able to elaborate on what you are seeing when this occurs? 

    Are you seeing the device power off, restart on its own, etc? Also, any elaboration on what you see on the device when you cannot save a ride would be helpful as well.

    Try to update to 14.12 beta. For me this fw solved freezing issues.

    i see the "save" screen, but the screen does not detect touch, does not respond to anything.. 

    by pressing the power button for a long time, the device stops, then by pressing it shor  it restarts, the "Save screen"  returns, by pressing the save button, it freezes again and the save does not take place

    another error: during training, I want to change the screen by example dragging the screen to the right, the screen freezes, it doesn't stick to anything, the buttons don't respond to anything

    I did a hard reset, full reset
    the same thing is repeated over and over again

    What fw do you have installed?

    Do you have any CIQ field installed?

    did you tried to create another Activity profile to check if its the same in that also?

    yes, i tried: another Activity profil.. i tried  without own atctivity profilt , i tried full reset , i tried

    English language (for me, Hungarian is my own language) 

    the screen freeze comes back again and again

    There where a-lot of things fixed in the current beta

    for me is stable , no crash and I ride and train alot, still previous FW was the same, stabe, yet some issues with workout screen that now have been solved
