Received my 1040 solar, aside from setting-up easily transferring settings from my 1030, it hasn't brought any of my saved courses over.

However, my bigger more immediate issue is that I cannot manually transfer more than 2 courses to it. I have a 4 day ride coming and the events company has sent each of the 4 days' GPX files.
My 1040 will only show 2.
I've Manually connected laptop and place the 4 files into the New Files folder shown for the "Garmin" drive, but it ignores all but 2 - not always the same two when I've deleted and started again. Have tried moving one at a time, but aways only 2 shown, not all 4.
Really frustrating, I NEED these files for the ride. Can't see anywhere to do this on the Garmin Connect web pages / dashboard, or Garmin express?

Just go on connect. Mobile version. Find course under training, open it and then send to device. Pick 1040. And repeat.

Thanks for that - I was stumped where to look for course in the Garmin connect mobile app! In the end, I imported them into Strava (on the web), then let Garmin Connect (web) pick them up from there, then sent to the device. A faff, but done.
We’ll see now if the 1040 navigates/follows the courses as expected, on Wednesday!

Did the courses have very long filenames? If the 1040 behaves like other models, they won't all copy correctly if the unique part of the filename isn't in the first 15 or so characters.
