Edge 1040 Solar moving map problem

I want to report problem with moving map in E1040 Solar. It occurs many times when I want to move map (I would say about 50-60%), On map view I touch hand icon and try to move map, but new part of the map isn't loading, and when I release touch is backing to my location. I don't think it is problem with map itself - I tried many maps, many zooms and this is the same. It occurs during ride, during pause and without activity. You can see this on this movie

For me is huge problem because on many of my touristic or ultra rides I use moving map a lot. And I don't think it is problem with some settings because it is not happening always, but in about 50-60% cases. In this cases Edge just isn't able to load new part of the map

  • I will try , did not see anyproblem, maybe try to reinstall the maps?

  • I tried many maps, not one. IMO it is not problem with map itself but how Edge is refreshing them. In about 50-60% cases Edge just isn't loading new part of the map, when I try to move it.

  • Is the same with all activity profiles?

Last resort I would try to Factory reset

  • After factory reset it is exactly the same. It looks like this problem is seen more often when temperature is higher, over 25'C. When is cooler problem is rare. So I think it is some problem with processor, when pressure on it is higher (during higher temperature) it sometime won't load new part of map.

  • I have the same issue but it's definitely not related to solar, I'm on a regular 1040 . Very annoying. Basicly when you have loaded a course and switch to the hand mode to browse the map it jumps back to your location and does not allow you to move you map view around.

  • I think it is not problem with Solar, but with processor, which is getting warm in operation like moving map. From my observation when map contains more details - this problem is occuring more often. For example on Base World Map it is rare, but on OSM map on small zoom (200-800m) on map of big city (a lot of details) this happens really often. Processor have some problems with moving it. It is real dissapointment because same OSM map on my E1030 is moving faster and absolutly no problems with loading new part of map.

  • I have the same problem with the Routable Cycle map of Europe. (I don't have a problem "at home" with the Routable Cycle map of the United States.) For me, the GPS freezes. The only action I can take is to press and hold the power button.
