Reverse courses - routes

That's what I'm afraid off. How is it possible that after so many years, Garmin isn't  "capable" (??) of inserting this simple feature in their software/ app, knowing that their competitors do....

I'd like to see them fixing bugs rather than introducing a new feature that won't work as intended.

True, but if I go through threads of previous models, this is a feature asked for more then 4 years ago....should already been introduced a long time ago :-) 

I don't think you'd get it before the Virtual Partner removal

It can be done using Garmin Connect on a computer: Select an existing course, select duplicate and one of the options is reverse direction. I haven't however, tried using the Garmin Connect app.

I agree that this feature would be useful to have on the device as often there's a decision about direction made immediately before setting out due to considerations such as wind.

I only see these options… no reverse courses… but maybe I m looking in the wrong spot on my Garmin connect app (iPhone user; I find it on the computer but not on my cellphone)

I think it only works if the course is created in Garmin Connect and not if created in another app like Strava then imported.

yes I think so to. If your courses are “locked” coming from strava (even if they are not private routes/courses on strava); Garmin will not let you reverse them in the app . If a course in Garmin connect isn’t locked (fe imported as a gpx file bij n Garmin Connect ); you can reverse courses. 

hopefully Garmin can solve this, but what I have read so far.. it will be wishful Thinking .

so what I learned so far: imported strava routes (with a star in strava) can only be reversed if you duplicate them in Garmin connect (on your computer) so that they will be “unlocked” in the app. If your course has a “lock” they can’t be reversed in the app
