Save and Resume?

Went out for a ride today and got a flat and figured I would do the same and resume function but I did not see it. Where is it or is it missing on the 1040?

There was never a resume function on the EDGE devices, only on Garmin watches. You can stop and don't save, or you have auto pause.

After you have stopped the ride you can resume it by pressing the start/stop button again if you haven’t ended the ride by pressing the checkered flag.

Thanks and was confusing vs my Tactix 7 pro and older F6X. Makes sense in what to do.
