Roundabouts with ClimbPro on

Small bug I noticed yesterday : I had to pass through a couple of roundabouts while ClimbPro was on. While general navigation seems to deal properly with roundabouts, whenever ClimbPro is on and the intersection screen pops up, it shows the shortest way to the exits of roundabouts, which turns out to be the wrong way when you're going to an exit on the left hand side (we're riding/driving on the right hand side of the road here). Using firmware 12.16 at the moment.

  • Not sure if I was using ClimbPro or not, but I had this when navigating and was off course. The Re-route took me up to a roundabout to go back (basically a U-turn). The map was correct, i.e. going round the roundabout and taking the 3rd exit. However the “Turns” text told me to take the first exit, which is the illegal way round the roundabout.

This is yet another bug that appeared occasionally on my Edge 1000 that has not been fixed. Looking at previous posts and devices it appears to be an old problem and whatever the cause, it needs fixing.

  • ClimbPro does not affected the routing.

A couple of questions for you. What side of the ride does the traffic drive on where you are? If you check the course on the site it was built on and zoom in on the roundabouts is the track going the correct way around the roundabout?

  • Actual navigation is fine (regarding roundabouts) both on Strava and on the Edge unit. It's the pop up window that shows while Climb Pro is on that shows the shortest and wrong way around the roundabout.

  • It’s not climbPro causing this but navigation. Have seen it Saturday morning on my commute the first time. It was also the third exit wich caused the edge to go into opposite traffic, also driving on the right side of the street.
Im kot sure if it was in the Popup or in the map.
