The solar is a wonderful device. Gaining about 10% of the ride time from sunlight even while it was raining lightly throughout the ride was impressive. Unfortunately I have had it freeze after both of two outdoor rides so far. Does anyone else have the same issues?
Following my first outdoor ride yesterday, the device saved all my ride information and synchronized it to my account. Subsequently I used the on/off button to put it to sleep. A few hours later, upon trying to turn it on, it would not proceed past the ‘Garmin’ and battery level screen. The phone did say it was connected. A long press allowed me to turn it off, after which it could turn on again. It then said ‘failed to get base map version’, but proceeded anyway. The time of the device was off by an hour and a half, but that was restored promptly when synchronizing.
Today the same happened. Except it took several very long presses to get it to restart. At one point only a line was showing horizontally across the screen. Also, the time is still off by an hour despite rounds of synchronizing. The time it froze at seems to indicate it only froze once I got home, which is a 30 min drive. Could the WiFi connecting have played a role?
It is running on the latest available software (12.15)
Thanks all!
