Solar not Charging while Riding?? 70 degree ride. A bug??

Went out for a ride today and first time this has happened but solar was not charging. Was about 70 degrees with decent sun the last 1/2. Showed 0 intensity and 0 minutes back. I did not expect a lot but probably around 5 minutes. Is this a bug? Newest firmware.

Second ride today and still no solar charging. Guess I will have to go back to original firmware Garmin-Matt

I also had the same problem this morning on my ride. However my ride yesterday worked perfectly fine. Nothing changed between yesterday and today with the 1040.

I have had this same thing happen, and each time a shut down/turn on cycle has restored functionality. On v 12.16 firmware, it has not happened.

Mine is showing it harvesting 100% sunlight but no battery life gained. Two hours in sunlight…

interesting and shut it down and turned it back on and still nada. just downgraded to 12.15 to see what happens. So odd as it was working fine and must be some kind of bug.

I had an occurrence of the same, yesterday. 3h in full sunshine, firmware 12.16, about 80 % of battery at the start. No solar charging at all. It's back on today, after turning it off then on.
