Edge 1040 Solar - deleting training plans......randomly

I have training plans (source from trrainingpeaks) in the Gamin Connect app and site.  I set up Edge 1040 Solar in the official way, meaning pairing it with my iphone and syncing with Garmin Connect app.  The training plan was synchronized as expected and show up on the home screen and in the training plan screen.

I switched off the device once it was fully set up.  The next day I switched it on and the plans were still visible on the home screen, but they had disappeared from the training plan screem.  Eventually the plans disappeared from the home screen too.

I reset the device and started again, but the same thing happened.

I have both an Edge 830 and Epix, both work just fine and don't lose the training plans.

    I experienced the same problem last week, it forces me to use two bike computers at the same time until I will be absolutely sure that 1040 is working flawlessly.

    Good to know I am not alone. I have switched back to my 830. No clue what to do. Have you solved it?

    Same here: see my post on same issue. Works flawlessly on Edge 830. For me, 1040 is useless until this bit works.

    Welcome to the joy that is Edge 1040 ownership….I’m sure this and myriad of other issues will be fixed….some day, but yes, I have the same issue described here. I end up having to check my TP app on my phone before a ride, then try to “guess” at the prescribed work out from the available work outs in the 1040’s workouts menu until i match up the number of steps…but yes, they randomly appear and disappear from the Home Screen and calendar.

    I also have the 530 and Fenix 7 Solar which are fine.

    I’m always on the bleeding edge….don’t know what I do this to myself, but this time is really bad…I don’t think I can recall a device as bug riddled as the 1040.

    An update.  I just installed the latest software (12.16).  The device restart and my training plan showed up on the home page and in the training plan.

    I did one of the training plans.  After I finished the device synced via my iPhone.  The training plan still appeared on the home page, but the training went missing from the training plan page.

    So, same behaviour as before, but weird that the after the update the plans momentarily returned.

    I seem to have a similar problem. I use TrainingPeaks and sync workouts to 1040 Solar - sometimes the whole training plan disappears from the unit. What I have found is that if I just reboot the unit the workouts come back. I have tried to sync when they aren't there and nothing changes but if I reboot it, they magically appear...... weird Anguished
