New Edge 1040 Series Public Beta 12.16 Now Available

A new Beta software for the Edge 1040 Series has been released. Full change log, instructions, and software for installing the beta can be found in the link below.

This update is looking good so far:

To be sure this is a clean test I installed .16, did a full device reset, no config/data migration, created new profiles/datascreens/, and added sensors one by one. All options for climbpro/segments/screen and so on are defaults for now.

- My HRM sensor dropouts appear fixed

- Edge Remote is now working

- The flood of "Off Segment" alerts has stopped

- The miscategorization of event types when synced from GC -> Strava is fixed (maybe strava fixed something?)

- Syncing of post-activity data is much faster than before. It was working before but taking a VERY long time. This appears fixed.

- VO2max data seems to be updating now, and has backpopulated. This appears fixed.

Sun just came out, this afternoon I'll try to go test the solar charging/battery problem I was experiencing and report back.

Perhaps it was more the reset & manual profile/sensor setup as none of your problems seem listed in the .16 changes?

Bug: autozoom while strava segment is active

i have disabled autozoom for navigation, still, today I had one strava segment active, in the map page, while I was chasing gray triangle(virtual partner) and hit the minus button few times to zoom out, after few seconds my Garmin automatically zoom in to default zoom level without pushing anything

this happent several times

The strava segments stopped working in this beta, the edge 1040 asks me to link my garmin account with my strava account and I have it linked. Any solution?
