Is the solar screen resistant enough to the stresses of the mtb in descents on rocks and rock gardens?
I await the testimonies of those who use it in mtb and not only to walk in nature but to make descents as in the enduro

Seriously, what do you expect to be stressed on solar compared to the regular or any other bike computer? There are no moving parts and the mechanics of the mount are tested and proven, with improvements on 1040 for the aluminum taps. I would recommend using the stem mount vs the rubber band solution (out front (included) or on top (optional).
I use my 1040 Solar for MTB rides several times a week on the rocky trails in Arizona. No problems. That said, other than crashes, I have never had a problem with any bike computers on MTB rides.
