UT800 and Varia RTL light network not forming

Having the same problem and yet to find a solution.  Please advise if you get it figured out.

How are you pairing? Radar as radar or light? 

I got this having the RTL515 and UT800. I deleted both, and if I remember correctly paired the RTL515 first then the UT800 and that worked for me. I did then have the issue that if you are not using the RTL515 and have even disabled it, the red radar icon doesn’t go away like it used to. Fix for this is a full shutdown/restart at the moment. Of course if your always using the RTL515 that doesn’t matter. 

For pairing I had deleted both radar and light and then just did add device (I.e didn’t try and add a specific device)

Have tried both ways with the RTL, tried just pairing the UT. Here’s an example of what I’m seeing - put the RTL or UT in pairing mode, the 1040 sees it and allows me to start the pairing process however, it seems that the 1040 never communicates to the RTL or UT to exit the pairing mode (the purple light stays on).  Then I get the continuous light disconnected from network message. Also, tried a couple older Bontrager lights and had the same issue. 
The 1040 pairs with my Di2, FR955, and Vector pedals just fine. The RTL and UT pair just fine with my 1030 plus as well.

What you are seeing matches my experience exactly.

I found in an old Varia thread of a similar problem (https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/cycling/f/varia-series/231787/rtl-515-and-ut800-do-not-bild-a-light-network) and I tried the solution of removing all sensors and then adding the RTL and then the UT800, but I have the same behaviour.

Nice to know that I am not the only one experiencing this.

I have tried adding as radar, light and all -- with the same behaviour. 

Same issues, message all the time about network disconnecting. The radar works fine to display cars. The disconnect message popping every minute is very annoying since you have to touch the screen every time to remove it.

Got an email from Jason at Garmin. No solution yet but he recommends everyone that is having the connection issues to please contact Garmin direct so they can track those that are having issues.  Here’s hoping there is a fix sooner rather than later.  Garmin’s product support number is 1-800-800-1020.

Removed both Radar and headlight, paired again starting with headlight then Radar, seems to fix the problem!
