HRMDual connected but no data.

Firmware 12.15, yesterday at the end of the ride I saw the hr field in this condition '--' but the sensor in the sensor page was connected, battery is new.

In the uploaded ride in Garmin Connect the hr data wasn't present.

Both ant+, other people got the same problem, it's really weird!

Normally I have no IQ fields, connected at the same time:

- Vector 3

- Varia radar 510

- Speed sensor

- HRM of course

- Phone with smart…

This looks like just the sort of issues you get when the strap starts to fail. With the amount of people reading and responding I’m just wondering that for sure it could be in a pool of enough people a certain amount will see the strap starting to break.

if anyone seeing this problem has a spare strap maybe try that. Not saying it is the problem. Just saying whenever a strap starts failing I’ve seen both dropouts and also strange HR readings. I’ve replaced the strap and problem solved.

Actually, when it happened that was my first thought (is my strap failing?)...

I happened to have a brand new spare HRM dual (both the strap and the device) so the next ride I tried it and... same issue. Since then I'm using it with my Edge 830 and it works flawlessly, so it's definitely an Edge 1040 issue.

So, looks like it doesn't happen anymore on 12.16

The problem still persist also in the 12.16, but Garmin say it's probably the cardio sensor, even if I tell that it's very improbable that two different cardio sensor produce the same problem!!
