Map on Edge 1040

Hi,

I want to delete some maps on my Edge to free some space and add OpenFietsMap.

I'd like to keep only Europe's maps.

Which one can I delete?

Gmapprom4.img

Gmapprom3.img

Gmapprom2,img

and what is Gmapgc1.img?

Use garmin connect on a mac or PC ., you can remove maps that way easily.

You can look inside of each map (file) with a file viewer. It is written at the beginning of each file which map it is.

You can even use any text editor to view, but then be careful: don‘t press „save“ to exit. Simply exit the editor!

Garmin Express is the way to go. Via "Manager Maps" you can delete any map you don't need. Then install OpenFietsMap by copying the IMG file to the device. I did the same yesterday, works flawlessly.
