Live segment limit

Has the 100 Live segment limit on garmin edge devices finally been removed on the 1040?

    So the beeps and tones are now fixed, any idea when the fonts will be increased? Thanks!

    The font size was increased in 14.x

    I was not sure if it was my eyes as it still is relatively small, but indeed it seemed to be bigger than previously

    Ok, i have now bought a 1040, first thing i did was check the limit, still 100. im running software v14.14, does the non beta firmware have a different limit?

    Hi guys,

    I have a question about Strava Segments.

    Is it possible that when I add to favourite Segments on Strava app and later I will create route in other application can be Garmin Connect it my earlier added to favourite Strava Segments will be visible during ma ride following by course in Navi mode and Segment will ON on the screen?

    I have Strava Premium Account.

    And I want those Segments but I want too POI point which are available in Garmin Connect .

    When I use Strava route with Segments I can’t edit this route in GC. Only duplicate but after this Segments disappears.

    Strava segments will only pop up when following courses built in Strava. This has been the case ever since the Live Segment integration was introduced, as I recall. Note: if you are following a structured workout, on a course, it will suppress the Live Segment feature even if the course was built in Strava.

    This is not true. Actually more the opposite. My Strava Live Segments pop up when free riding only (not a route/course). When riding a course file someone sent me, they never pop up as was explained they would have to be built into the file.

    They will only work on a course you created in Strava as Strava is matching the course against your starred segments and including information about them in the course file.

    Using a course created by someone else will not have your segments in it.

    oh so it's the wording, it's not that they only work in courses, they work in Free riding AND courses you personally create in Strava. That is clear yet disappointing and the reason so many people report different results (i.e. are they following a course they made).

    That is why all the routes people send me (I do not make my own routes ever) I never get Live segments popping up??

    is there a way to take a route .gpx file that is sent to me and do something to it to "make it seem like I created it" for the purpose of it seeing my starred segments?

    sort of like you make a word document and then I edit and resave it as my own??

    would be an interesting little trick!
