The quickest way maybe just to side load course.
Copy the the contents of the Garmin\Courses folder on the 1030+ to the Garmin\NewFiles folder on the 1040.
It wont sync already starred ones, only newly starred ones. I found if you go into Garmin connect app, courses, select the course and select "send to device" on each course you want to push, they then…
