Edge 1040 and Canyon H36 garmin mount

Hello! I have a canyon ultimate with the h36 aero cockpit. Canyon sells its own garmin mount for this aero handlebar. Does anybody know if the new edge 1040 fits in this mount as well as 1030 did? Because the 1040 is a few mm higher.

I’ve not got that one but have another one that fits on the stem. I take it by higher you mean the long end of the screen measurement. If so then as long as you had room for the bottom buttons before then you will now. As measurements go for a 1030 stem to bottom of charging port is about 18mm. On the 1040 it’s about 15mm. There’s a sort of more pronounced base on the 1040 though. I’d say the buttons are bout the same

Thanks for the measurements! Unfortunatelly I cannot compare,because I just plan to buy the canyon mount, and I thought that the 1030 fits, because canyon site says it supports garmin edge devices. I will ask them too.

Hi, I think you’ll be fine. I’ve upgraded to a 1040 and I didn’t have to adjust my mount at all. It’s a different brand of bars etc but it fits exactly the same as my 1030+ and has no impact on buttons. Hope the picture helps.

Ditto from me. I have an Endurace and the Edge 1030+ was close to the bar so I too was concerned about the 1040, but it sits exactly where my 1030+ did. I think you should be fine.

I have the same combo: an H36 cockpit and Canyon's Garmin mount.

Don't you feel that the cables are subject to additional pressure with the mount on its place?
