Weather Unknown Waiting for Phone

In the Garmin Connect app, do you have the phone's location enabled?   

Bottom right of the main Connect app for the MORE ellipsis.   

(...) > Settings > Phone Permissions > Location (set to ALWAYS)

Yes. I also checked in the iPhone settings to make sure cellular data was turned on for both Connect and ConnectIQ.

Did the Edge have a GPS lock

Yes, and the iPhone had my correct location as well.

Following. This happens to me non-stop.  I think the weather widget worked maybe once out of the 10 times I tried checking it.  All other cell phone connected functions and GPS seemed to be working. 

Seen this happen quite a few times. Power cycle and weather was instantly available.

I leave the Connect app open on the phone, otherwise, I have problems with Live Track. Since I usually ride alone, I like someone to know where I am in case something happens.

I've power cycled about eight times. It's not a big deal, I have weather on my watch. It was just handy to get alerts sometimes on longer rides when conditions in Holland might change from what was forecasted in Germany. You know how accurate weather forecasters are. ;-)

The weather feature doesn't play well with the ios16 beta.

I can use it if I'm connected to my iPad iPad OS 15) but not my phone (iOS 16)
