Temperature going up and backlight stays on while charging

Just noticed my Edge 1040 Solar temperature goes up when plugged in to the charger up to 40-41 degrees before it turns off.

Also while on charger, screen backlight stays on all the time - the only time it turns off is when plugged to wall socket and turned on. If I turn it off, then backlight stays on, and obviously increases charging time.

Software updated to the latest one.

Anybody got similiar issue?

So it must be only my Edge that is having this issue. It is going back to seller for full refund :( Garmin says it is normal, yeah, right, thanks for help...
