Virtual Partner

Hi guys,

Does 1040 has Virtual Partner field?.
In 1030 + if I good remember this field is always available during activities. I can choose only if I want visible or not this field

But in 1040 I can’t find it :/

The 1040 does not have the dedicated VP page shown above. The information that the page conveyed is available through data fields and there are menu options in the widget loop to reset or change the pace…

The only other way at the moment is to adjust the VP speed with the tools you used to create the course. Most course creators allow you to set a speed…

The only other way at the moment is to adjust the VP speed with the tools you used to create the course. Most course creators allow you to set a speed for the VP. Give the VP either a very slow or very fast speed so that you are separated from it very quickly into the ride.

Ah. Ok. I started a course and it showed up. Do I have to adjust this setting each time I ride a new course, or is there a way to permanently set the VP speed? Also, it seems like it goes ro 10% and not 0?

If you are using the VP control on the Edge then it would need to be each time.

If you do it when authoring the course then that is the speed built into the file so you will not need to adjust it on the Edge. This requires the course authoring tool to allow you to set a speed.

OK,

I see the virtual partner appears after I start a course.

If I am just free riding, there is not VP, but thought the VP was related to segments.

I guess not.

there is a green button re-synch to user.
