Routing / Navigation / Card Visibility

I have the following problem: In the activity profile "Road bike", I have set the map visibility to "when navigating" for the training pages. When I start a saved route on the Edge, the map is not displayed despite the above settings. Does anyone know why?
Furthermore, I do not get turn-by-turn directions or route messages, even though I have them set in the appropriate activity profile (show navigation messages map).
It is the most current version installed.
Does anyone know if these are software bugs?
I used the Edge 830 with the same settings until last week. There everything worked smoothly.

Have enabled turn guidance?

Course Options
Select Navigation > Courses > :
Turn Guidance: Enables or disables turn prompts.

Are you actually navigating? Just saving the route doesn’t do anything. As you start the ride you need to choose the route. Then you will be navigating.

On my unit the map was not enabled for my region. Go to the profile and open the maps settings, make sure the correct region is enabled.

Thank you for the answers. Yes, I have selected a route and started and yes, I set the map to activate.
Perhaps a few of bugs.

Many thanks. I think this solved my problem with the turn-by-turn directions.

Power save have an option to hide the map

I have had the same experience with my Edge 1040. The first few rides the map displayed, the it stopped displaying on subsequent rides (no settings changes) or it would suddenly appear, and stay, halfway through the ride. I'm thinking there is a bug somewhere. Otherwise I'm loving the 1040.
