Waypoints are not appearing on Up Ahead screen of my 1040 Solar

I’ve created a new route on the Garmin Connect app with some waypoints and sent this to my 1040. The route is loaded and started but the waypoints don’t appear on the Up Ahead screen. Am I missing something?

I’ve now created a course on the web version of connect and the way points are now showing on the 1040. Thanks again.

Thanks, will give that a shot. Am using iOS phone and iPad.

Do they popup, like a turn notification might? Mine works, but only as a list I have to swipe over to, which seems slightly useless on a longer ride.
