In case anyone is interested, I found a great carrying/storage case for my 1040. The device, including the silicone case, fits perfectly and snugly inside the case with no shaking or rattling. There is even room for a charging cable. The case is the Pelican G10 which is waterproof, shock proof, and practically bulletproof. $38 from Amazon.
