Can anyone report if Garmin have fixed the issue that the 1030+ has with ridiculously long responses to changes in gradient?

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the undesirable lag in road grade. We want to share that we have a plan for an improved solution with consideration of both accuracy and responsiveness. Our engineers…
@Garmin-Mathew.
If you really believe that 10-15 seconds delay is considered “normal” - as the official statement from Garmin is trying to force-feed customers, then what does that say about my Edge 1000…
I currently have a wahoo element (full size) a karoo2 and now a 1040 solar. as of the 12.14 release the 1040 solar still has a ridiculous lag as compared to the other two. I really don't care too much…
I think it's getting worse since recent updates, my 1040 was showing +6% for around 20 seconds while descending !! After a short climb. It's a joke for a premium (supposedly) product. I've had the edge 1000 and 1030 (not plus version) both of these were fine the gradient was always spot on, it was a feature I was used to and found interesting as I climbed to see was the gradient was is real time. Now there is no point in having it on the display. I don't think this will ever get fixed, I'm going to give up with Garmin in the future. When I look to change or upgrade again it won't be a Garmin product. It's not just this feature there have be so many bugs in the past that takes literally years to straighten out and the products are so expensive when released that are not fit for purpose.
Having two previous Garmin edge devices that displayed accurate grade information compared to a supposedly improved 1040 model is the point of this thread. If you don't care stay out of the conversation.
perfectly said. They really don't deserve anyone to give them business on a product that once did something, now doesn't then they said they fixed but didn't.
