Can anyone report if Garmin have fixed the issue that the 1030+ has with ridiculously long responses to changes in gradient?

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the undesirable lag in road grade. We want to share that we have a plan for an improved solution with consideration of both accuracy and responsiveness. Our engineers…
@Garmin-Mathew.
If you really believe that 10-15 seconds delay is considered “normal” - as the official statement from Garmin is trying to force-feed customers, then what does that say about my Edge 1000…
I currently have a wahoo element (full size) a karoo2 and now a 1040 solar. as of the 12.14 release the 1040 solar still has a ridiculous lag as compared to the other two. I really don't care too much…
What are you talking about? You're just overstating. To me climb pro always announced a climb before I stepped into it. Maybe climb longer climbs too.
Also, there's no such thing as gradient lag, it's a normal behavior I believe. I've owned 3 different garmin devices and not even counting watches, and the gradient was always displayed late. About 10 seconds or something like that
I had over 10 Garmin devices since the first Edge device hit the market, and none except the 1030+, had such a long lag for gradient.
If counting how many Garmin devices you own solves the problem, there is another lag
Devices ate supposed to improve accuracy as they modernize. In this case it went in the opposite direction.
Some users don't know how one device should work, and they take everything as granted, even lag
What do you mean by wrong on gradient, delayed?
I upgraded to the 1030+ and had serious lag so when the 1040 came out I bought that and sold the old device and guess what, same or possible worse lag. Previous Garmin devices were perfect for gradient. Come on Garmin fix this problem, also why develop a new device with the SAME PROBLEM!
