Can anyone report if Garmin have fixed the issue that the 1030+ has with ridiculously long responses to changes in gradient?

Thank you for sharing your concerns about the undesirable lag in road grade. We want to share that we have a plan for an improved solution with consideration of both accuracy and responsiveness. Our engineers…
@Garmin-Mathew.
If you really believe that 10-15 seconds delay is considered “normal” - as the official statement from Garmin is trying to force-feed customers, then what does that say about my Edge 1000…
I currently have a wahoo element (full size) a karoo2 and now a 1040 solar. as of the 12.14 release the 1040 solar still has a ridiculous lag as compared to the other two. I really don't care too much…
So disagree. At that level of price it must works properly; no ifs or buts.
Wow. I recently crashed and broke the mounting bracket off my Wahoo ROAM and was considering upgrading to the Edge 1040 to experience something new. But this thread has completely changed my mind. I'm just gonna buy the dogears replacement mounting bracket and keep waiting for something new to come out which seems worthwhile. Shimano killed off my interest in Karoo with their silly banning of Di2 integration and Garmin can't get gradients right. Wahoo seems old and outdated now compared to all the features that Garmin has but gradient is just basic functionality. How does this not work on a $600-750 computer? Crazy.
This is the funniest reply in this entire thread. You come in, oblivious to the months of debating already happening, and throw out some dollar figures and think this is going to make a difference? Look, you "dropped $2000 on products." What else does Garmin want from you? You've already written off Wahoo. What else are you gonna choose if you don't go with Garmin? Karoo which won't integrate with your Shimano devices? Who do you think you are threatening? This whole post is so funny.
I bought the rally power metals pedals because I was curious to test the power guide functionality. Since then, power guide is the only screen I use. It shows the map, it shows climbpro and it guides me in putting down the right effort (which for me is super low!) for the slope I'm climbing. I stopped looking at grade, hearth rate, speed etc... Just to say that yes, grade reporting might lag, but garmin is truly innovating beyond that.
@calicyclist: Indeed, angwagon is funny. He/SHe thinks he has us all “covered” by sending a threatening email to Garmin, since he’s spent a couple of thousand bucks on Garmin products in past
Plus, he/she complained to moderators to have my previous sarcastic replies to his posts removed…
Gotta love ppl like that
@micro: Yup, I was censored and had 2 posts removed bc Angwagon complained to Forum moderators lol.
My sarcastic (but what i considered) funny replies to angwagon’s posts to Garmin - who was threatening to stop buying their products in the future, as he/she had purchased a whopping 2000$ amount of Garmin stuff in past … and felt that would make Garmin head office turn heads….
All the best,
Are Garmin gonna fix this? I have (approximately) the same lag for gradient, speed and distance left when navigating and the screen when to turn is shown. The strange thing is that the blue arrow that shows my position seems to be correct, so when I am right in the crossing the blue arrow shows that, but the text is saying 200m left. The lag for me is appr 10 seconds, perhaps little less for the speed.
My old Edge 800 is better, just one second delay.
