Edge 1040 not displayed on Strava activity

Hello,

I upgraded from a Garmin Edge 830, and when syncing from Garmin Connect to Strava it used to display the device "Garmin Edge 830" on the strava activity page. Now with the Edge 1040, there's nothing displayed. Is this something that Garmin needs to adapt "(device id" or something) or is it an issue on strava side?

Its a strava issue. It seem Garmin themselves have kept this so secret they didn't prepare that well. i couldn't even get CIQ to recognise it until this morning

I opened a ticket at strava, here's their reply:

"Thank you for contacting Strava. Sorry the data from your device is not being recognized properly on Strava. We do not have this device mapped in our system yet - which can cause your activity statistics to appear differently from what you see on the original platform you use. I've filed a ticket for our engineers to add this model to Strava. Thank you for your patience."

Waiting for the engineers then

Strava just needs to add the Garmin product number to their lookup table

Ok so Strava fixed it, I can see my ride with the mention "Garmin Edge 1040" on strava now

My Garmin Edge 1040 Solar is also shown as 'Garmin Edge 1040'. I'll open a ticket on Strava.
