charging the Edge 1040 turns it on, and doesn't give a message when fully chared

Hi,

when my edge 1040 (non Solar) is turned of, and I connect it to a power source to charge it, it turns completely on. where my old 1030 gave a "charge screen". when the 1040 is fully charged. it doesn't give a signal or turn's off.

Is this configurable?

1030+ also turns on completely. Just push the button again. Also there is no signal or turning off automatically.

Interesting. I found that it didnt turn it on and that it doesnt show its charging at all, even though it is. I actually managed to fully crash the 1040 yesterday by plugging it in to a charger, so i suspect there are some bugs here

I suspect issues like this will be addressed in a firmware update. Even my Edge 1000 is a pain in the ass when you plug it in or remove it from power, as either action turns the unit on.

mine does the same as the good old 820 and earlier…. i was so happy my 1030 and 830 did not as it is a pita to always have to put it off again … and yes no info on screen as my 130
