Moving from 1030 to 1040: do screen layouts migrate?

It worked perfectly for me.

Unfortunately for me only 2 of 5 profiles were imported, and only some of the fields were what they were on the 1030. IQ fields are now just generic timer fields. Loving Garmin.

IQ fields will not import as they may not exit yet for the 1040.

If you still have your existing unit you can try just copying the missing profiles over to the Garmin\NewFiles folder on the 1040

Sadly, IQ apps cannot be installed if they're not yet compatible with the 1040. So Humon Interval is dead, the company is out of business.

Wonder if there is a way to just manually move the IQ app and see if it works.

You can try side loading it. On the source unit look in the 

Garmin\Apps folder for PRG files. Try just copying them to the Garmin\Apps folder on the 1040.

You would then need to add them back to your training pages.

The GarminDevice.xml file on the source unit can help identify the one you want or just move them all. If things blow up you can just delete them from the 1040.
