IQ App updates - probable delays?

I just asked a developer for info on the release of an update to his IQ App for the 1040.
He said: "I checked, and currently, the developer tools don’t yet support the Edge 1040 as a target". Slight frown

  • Hello, I wanted to add the TyreWiz datafield and it's not possible to install as the Edge 1040 is not listed... Hopefully it can be fixed soon...

  • I've contacted 2 or 3 developers of IQ apps and they have all said they will update soon :-) You can use the Contact Developer under Additional Information :-)

    Additional Information

      • Initial Release: May 25, 2018
      • Updated: October 15, 2021
    • Version: 1.0.7

  • Yes I did that already, hopefully the update comes soon...

Just when the Karoo2 gets an update for native support of tyrewiz Sweat smile

  • There was a 24 hour delay between when the device was released and when the CIQ team released support for developers to build and test for the Edge 1040. We now have the tools, so you should start to see support for your favorite apps show up soon.

Note this is the first edge device to support the latest API (4.1.x), so there are some changes to how widgets are implemented.  Data fields and apps should be straight forward.

  • This is madness. First it is the RCT715 and now the Edge 1040. Released far too early with software issues. Poor management by Garmin

  • I have the Tyrewiz which is so frustrating not being able to install the data field. Also I couldn’t upload all my settings to the 1040 as illustrated on the Garmin YouTube video. I had to use the old way of grabbing files and manually copying and pasting in the new files folder through windows.

Im not very impressed with this at all
