1040 Availability

I'm spinning up a thread for users to share where the 1040 is available. I haven't found any locally (major city).

I've ordered online today from 3 shops, each showed in stock at the time of payment. When I called each store, I found that they did not have them in stock yet, and did not have a known date when they will have them.

**EDIT** DialedCyclingLab was actually in stock, the person who picked up the phone must not have seen it. I've got one on the way.

What major city? So strange! We received our order yesterday. San Francisco Bay Area.

I'd suggest placing an order with Garmin direct while you're trying to find one locally. Their cancellation and return policy is great so if you find one in the meantime you're not stuck with two.

Sigma Sports in the UK have them in stock, mines arriving tomorrow...... Looking forward to using the new software (Coming from a 1030)

I think I'll wait for the new Wahoo.
Maybe it won't be worse and it will be cheaper from this Garmin.

I can't get on with Wahoo products, the screen graphics are just, well so 80's.

Haven't found the standard 1040 in stock, but ended up ordering the solar version from Playbetter and it's on a FedEx truck to be delivered to me tomorrow. That was the fastest online turnaround I've ever had. Order confirmed at 10:46am CDT yesterday and FedEx tracking number received at 11:09am CDT.

Can't wait to be able to read the screen with my aging eyes vs. my current 520 plus!
