Installing map 2020.10 causes bad navigation. Seems to navigate on autoroutes.

I installed the map Europe 2020.10 by Garmin express software. After this map update the navigation is not correct. This is what I noticed so far: Calculated routes goes on auto highways. Calculated route to home shows very a long route (must be 30 km, but the calculated route shows loops and calculate a route of 127 km). Profile in Edge 1030 is set on cycling. I also have reinstalled the map but unfortunately there’s no improvement. I deselect old maps, so only the 2020 maps are active. This also gives no improvement. Any other suggestions?

The Maps that should be enabled are:

INTL Standard Basemap, NR
Garmin Cycle Map EU, North East, 2020.10
Garmin DEM Map EU 2017.20
Garmin Geocode Map EU 2020.10
Garmin Cycle Map EU, South West, 2020.10

These are on my Edge 1000 which i thought should be the same as the 1030

Hi, thanks. I tried your map selection, unfortunately still the same error. Somehow the navigation navigates as soon as possible to a high way. If I zoom in, the regular cycle roads are on the map, they just being ignored. I am thinking about a complete reset but need to figure out how I set back my activity profile (I have made a lot of work of my data screens and doesn’t want to loose them).

Reset the device and same navigation problem still occurs. I tested it before and after putting back the backup. I think the next step will be asking the garmin support. Hope they will respond soon.. Meanwhile, if anybody has other suggestions to solve this problem feel free to tell me.

Can you please give an Example for the wrong routing with complete Start- and End-Point.

And can you please make Screenshots from Route-Settings (wich ways you ignore in settings) and the calculated route.

These are the settings (in Dutch..) You can see it navigates to a high way. All settings are set to cycling. (Due to private reasons I do not show the end and the beginning of the calculated route). The calculation problems immediately started after the recent map update.

I checked all parameters from this website, all were ok. So far as I can see the profile parameters did not change during the map update. I am also curious if I am the only one with this problem. I have send Garmin support an email about my navigation issue.
