Routing on Edge 1030 is wrong (compared to 820)

When routing on my Edge 1030 (Roadbike mode) , it will take me over the "Autobahn/Highway". I used the same settings as on my Garmin 820 (especially avoidance of "Autobahn/Highway"). On my Edge 820 I'll get a perfect route on cycleways or minor roads. I tried different settings, without sucess.

What is wrong here?

BTW I am on firmware 9.10...

Not exactly, cyclemap 2018.20 on Edge 820 and 2019.20 on Edge 1030....

....but this hint made me try some other things: the only map capable for Route calculation is the basemap. Switching this ohne off, and all other Maps on, it comes Up with an route calculation error?

The basemap does not do route calculations. Perhaps try the 2018.20 map on the 1030?

That's correct, I retried, and I need at least:

1) Basemap

2) cyclemap EU 2019.20 North East

to calculate routes. All other maps are currently disabled.

A) Where/How do I get recent (official) maps for my garmin 1030?

B) How to put the 2018.20 cyclemap on my garmin? (Even though I donnot see the point, because it's outdated. However could be valuable for testing purposes....

Update your Edge 820 to get the last Map (2019.20) with Gamein Express on your PC/Mac. The Edge 1030 has the last Map and need no Update.

I only use maps from Openfietsmap.nl or garmin.openstreetmap.nl, so no experience with the maps provided by garmin itself.

Can you please show the wrong routing with start and endpoint . What is the expected routing?. Is the routing also wrong in garmin courses https://connect.garmin.com/modern/courses ? What are your settings for routing in Basecamp. Basecamp Version Mac Or PC?

o.k. I will provide some more information. It seems, that this problem is bound to the 2019.20 map...give me a few minutes to gather all the information...
