Incomplete ride data

I ride 560km, of which the track and other parameters were registered for the first 600 meters and from 260km to the end. On the map there is a jump in the form of a straight line from the beginning to 260 km. The total distance and time are saved well. The GPS was on, I was navigated to stay on all the time.

Is there any way to get it back?
Maybe other files than FIT in device?

  • - get yourself a free Dropbox account, up the file to there and then share the link to it.  I will take a look at it with the Fit File Repair Tool and see if anything can be done.

    cheers

  • - there has been no data recorded between the distances you stated.  Not a lot I can do to assist without any data to manipulate.

I am not sure how and when Garmin writes the data to the .fit file but I suspect that it is held on volatile memory and then written to the file on completion of the activity. Which leads me to the next question - how many completed and uploaded activities are still on your device? If it's any more than a months worth then it could be time to consider archiving the older ones off to a folder on your computer. It may have a been a case that there wasn't enough room on your device to write all the information to the file.

    cheers

  • In there are activities of half a year, but they are used sporadically. Earlier, for 2 years 820, I also deleted nothing and never had such problems, so I think not to - in many there are a few Gb free space.

Secondly, would not it just enjoy the end or the beginning due to the lack of space?

From what I see, it is a registered lap with a take-off (600m), then there were 4 laps (0.6-105k, 105-170, 170-213km and 213-262), which are no more, there are only those from 262km.
There was an hour of break for 262, I think that after the activity was resumed earlier records were somehow removed.

When I come in 1030 in the summary, you can see that there were more laps, only the values next to 0.

I'm just wondering if there is a temporary file that can be recovered from these records?

Thank you for trying to help me.

  • I check, in 1030 was been only 35 activity (on 820 over 750)

  • I'm just wondering if there is a temporary file that can be recovered from these records?

No there won't be.  If the data hasn't been written into the .fit file then is it gone.
