Stuck on diagnostic screen - Test mode

Hi,

this afternoon I was going to use my Edge 1030 to record my indoor session and it started in a diagnostic screen - test screen, which I did never see before.

Every time I reboot it starts the same screen-mode.

Tried to do a few tests (all with Pass result) and reboot and I got same result

All buttons work ok, (they are not stuck pressed)

how should I exit this mode?

Finally I could it reboot in normal mode after connecting the Edge 1030 with the usb cable to a computer.

it is very strange error it only started in diagnostic mode without any error message or something that could guide the user to a solution.

garmin could fix that

We use that mode during manufacturing. Sorry you had trouble with it glad you got it back working as expected.

If the start button is pressed down when the unit is powered on then it will enter the test mode. Holding the power button down for 10 seconds to force a power off should take it out of test mode.

got the same issue just got my new vivoactive 3 music and its stock on test mode how to get out of this?

I just had exactly the same problem. I can't really tell how I got it to start again normally but after starting it in test mode for like the 100th time and changing the screen i finally came to a screen which stated something like "press the power bottom to exit the test modus" however this didn't exist before. Before I only had something which stated "press the power bottom to force shut off" but then it just started again in the diagnostic section

I have the same problem today on my 810 (before a 160 mile ride tomorrow!), can anyone advise on how to fix this?
