Garmin products not connecting via Bluetooth with latest Garmin Connect update

After The recent update of Garmin Connect today. My edge 1030plus, Rally power meter and HRM is not working. What is Garmin doing!!!! Seems like it’s a Bluetooth issue with this update.

  • Can't say what was different than the other dozen attempts but this did finally pair- but not until after going through four "try again" screens:

    Fire Do this next (quick)

    Step 1 — Disconnect Edge from computer

    Let it boot fully back to normal home screen.

    Wait ~30 seconds.


    Step 2 — On the Edge

    Go to:

    ☰ → Connected Features → Phone

    Point right Tap Forget Phone (even if blank)

    Then:

    Point right Tap Pair Phone

    Leave it on the pairing screen.


    Step 3 — On iPhone (important order)

    1. Force-quit Garmin Connect

    2. Turn iPhone Bluetooth OFF

    3. Wait 15 seconds

    4. Turn Bluetooth ON

    5. Immediately open Garmin Connect → Add Device

    Watch closely for the popup.  Go through all the "try again" screens. Probably took four minutes.
