Edge 1030 plus is shaking on garmin mount while cycling, any advice greatly appreciated

What mount type are you using? It sounds like either the tabs on the Edge are warn or the mount has warn.

Thanks for your reply. I am using a garmin out front mount but have tried a few others and still the same issue. It must be the tabs that are worn so, which is a pity as the unit isn't that old.

Be very cautious I had the same on one 3rd party mount. All the others I had were fine. I thought nothing of it but I had the tabs break off when I went over a rough cattle grid (Luckily I also use the leash).

I used one of those mount repair kits from eBay to fix it & made a very thin plastic spacer as a temporary fix on one of my bikes until I get a replacement. A sort of washer that fits between the tabs & the main body cut from plastic folder with a circle cutter, seems to do the job, the Garmin is rock solid but can still be easily removed from the mount

This is an alloy version of the repair mount on Ali. I've just got it. Very good quality over the plastic versions I bought it in case the plastic one I fitted fails.... which so far is it hasn't
