My friend gave me his 1030 Plus, but he had already paired it with his phone. How do i remove his phone such that i can pair with my phone?

Settings -> Connected Features -> Phone -> Smartphone -> <pick the phone> -> Forget
Nice friend!
Thanks for the response. Unfortunately, i don't get the options you describe.
I get Settings -> Connected Features -> Phone
but then my options are Enable; Friendly Name; Pair Smartphone.
Enable is simply a toggle.
If i select Friendly Name, i can only change the name. There is no option to Forget
If i select Pair Smartphone, it then tries to connect to the Garmin Connect app.
I recall seeing an option to Forget before i even posted, but i've never seen it since. Maybe i was successful "forgetting", and i have a different problem now?
Since my original post, i've gotten a little further with pairing but still no joy. The app seems to recognize the Friendly Name, and the 1030 asks if it should connect to the phone. i say "yes". I've even had a code show up on both the phone and the 1030. But it still won't finish the pairing. i've tried the various steps in the app troubleshooting without success. when i have more time and patience, i'll go back through all of the troubleshooting again.
I don't want to do a reset on the 1030 since i've been using for over a year without the phone pairing. so, i'm sure i can live without the pairing.
If there isn't a phone listed, it isn't paired to a phone.
"Friendly name" refers to the 1030+ (maybe, you have more than one of them!).
Remove the "1030 Plus" items from the bluetooth devices on your phone.
I just redid it on my iPhone 16 and it worked. It asks to pair with BT and BLE.
You friend might be able to help you.
Thanks. So, i was able to "Forget" his phone. I think the Friendly Name for the 1030 and phone name were the same, and that confused me. Now i need to work through the various troubleshooting steps.
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
