...since the map update to Topo 2025, I've been getting a message saying the maps aren't activated. The cycle maps are no longer available. Now I'm wondering: do I really have to buy the maps to get an activation code? I found a solution for the 1040. Unfortunately, not for the 1030 Plus.
Is there a workaround for this, or is a complete reinstall the only solution? THX

In the Garmin\SQL\Internal folder delete all the files EXCEPT the MapRegionGrouping.db
In the Garmin folder delete all the *.img files. You can leave the *.gma and *.unl files as they will not do any hard.
If you are on a Mac empty the trash top really delete the files.
Disconnect the Edge from the PC.
Power it off and back on.
Reconnect it to the PC and using Garmin Express install the maps you want.
Update: die Meldung erscheint nicht mehr. Damit ist die Angelegenheit erledigt.
