I’ve got a garmin edge 1000 that records nothing on Indoor setting. It doesn’t matter how far or how long or how fast I go, according to it I have a speed of zero, a distance of zero and a calorie burn of zero too. It’s depressing. How does it wake up?

Is there anyone out there who can enlighten me on how to get off the blocks with the indoor setting whilst on the turbo. Cycling for hours with zero distance, zero kph and zero calorie burn is soul destroying having pressed every button, gone through all the options. GPS on/off. Connected HR, phone, watch, etc. It hates me and I hate it. Before I throw it in the bin, I hope someone can help!!
