1030 plus and power meter GPS speed issue

My garmin 1030 plus pairs with my powertap power meter but when it is enabled the speed does not record by GPS. If I disable the power sensor, GPS works immediately. Also power is not displaying, showing zero watts. I replaced the battery on the power meter. Still no luck. Any ideas? The power meter worked fine on my old lezyne computer.

did you pair your powertap as a speed sensor to the 1030?

No. Only as power. I don't have a speed sensor paired.

The PowerTap hub will send speed data that is part of the wheel torque spec. It will take priority over the speed computed from GPS data.

When the Edge is in communication with the PowerTap go to the sensor details and see what the wheel size is set to.
