1030 plus speed going up and down

Hello this has happened before just can't remember the fix. Speed goes up and down while on steady pace appx. by 10MPH. so traveling at 15MPH second later speed says 7MPH and just keeps going up and down the whole ride. I have to check my distance but last time it got worse and affected distance.

I believe the fix was to erase firmware download file and not to use 1030 wirelessly to update firmware can some one point me in the right direction. I would need the exact location firmware is stored in the 1030 plus so I can remove or another option,.

Sounds like you don't have a speed sensor? If not I'd recommend getting one. There's too many situations where GPS can't be relied on for consistent speed/distance.
