Since Switching to 1030plus, Sensor Battery Life is Terrible

I was using a Garmin 520 and switched to the 1030plus recently. I am using the same gamin sensors, HR, speed sensor and a stages power sensor that I had with the 520. I could get at least two months or more from the sensors with the 520, but with the 1030 plus, it can barely get two weeks. I was thinking the 1030 was staying connected so I have started powering the 1030 off after rides, but they still die quickly. This all started with the switch over. It really seems the sensors are staying connected somehow. For instance, I usually keep the HR strap on the other side of the house when not in use, out of wireless range, and it would get normal battery life. I recently started storing it in the garage near the 1030, and it died in a week.

The 1030plus is running software version 6.75 and says there are no update available.
