Reset lost data

Hi,

finished the marmotte grand fondo yesterday. Completed the actions on the garmin to try to sync with my phone. Ride was saved etc.

however the app reset and I had to relink it to my phone. The ride I did the day before is on it but not this one - which was really tough so I really want to get the data. It’s so disappointing. Can anyone help? In

If the ride was correctly saved, it will be in the activities folder on your device. It should sync when you connect to Garmin Express.

Not there. If I hook it up to my laptop any chance it becomes available? I completed the ride. The records popped up etc as most climbing I’ve ever done.

Once it's connected to your laptop, have a look in the Garmin/Activities folder on the Garmin and see if the fit file is there.

You'll need to do that to use Garmin Express anyway, but yes, it can also be manually uploaded to Garmin Connect

Hi, I have plugged in the device but there are no folders. What would the path be? I am on a MAC.

I have to update Garmin connect, but its not locating my device. Now my phone wont connect to it. Shoudl I reset it? Or will that definitely wipe out my data.

Resetting is a last resort as it will erase your settings, but not your data unless you choose the option to do so.

Resetting the Device

Try these steps:

Delete your device from the Connect App.

Delete your device from the phone Bluetooth settings.

Delete the phone Bluetooth connection on your device.

Reboot the Edge.

Reboot the phone.

Start the pairing process from scratch.
