No map when crossing borders

I made a ride. Started and ended in the Netherlands. In the middle I rode in Germany.

when riding the garmin showed me the map when i was in the Netherlands. When crossing the border, no map was shown when I was in Germany and when coming back in the Netherlands the map was back.

how does that come? Anybody any ideas?

Check if all Cyclemaps Europe are activated. There must be 3 Europe maps on your device.

Some places on the map are often confused or misplaced. You can double-check 3 Europe maps on your bike. eggy car

Do you have any other maps loaded on the device, active or not. Garmins don’t like having overlapping maps and the results can be unpredictable , given the issue happens at a border it might be a previously loaded OSM national map for Germany?
