This feature has been problematic since it first appeared. When I had the Edge 1000, I only got it to work once or twice, and when I really wanted it, I couldn't send a course to two friends who both had Edge 1000's, and were in town for a visit. When I got an Edge 1030, I only got communication with the Edge 1000 to work once. When I got my Edge 1030 Plus, I couldn't get it to work with the Edge 1030. Even when I had two Edge 1030 Plus units for a short while, it still wouldn't work dependably. I was able to send a course from the older unit to the newer one a time or two, but having two units recognize each other dependably has always been the problem.
