Major Bug: Training plan shows in Garmin Connect but non-cycling trainings are all missing in Edge1030+ plus

     Hello,

I have made a training plan in Training Peaks which is visible in Garmin Connect (web App) as well.

I noticed the following:

  • The syncing to Garmin Connect is only up to 3 weeks ahead, further exercises are only loaded into Connect as soon as they are less than 3 weeks ahead. Inconvenient, the upload should be 4 weeks ahead and a notification of this limit should be present in e.g. Garmin Connect
  • The planned exercises other than cycling or mountain biking (choices in TP) do appear in Garmin Connect but DO NOT appear in the Edge 1030+.calendar

See the screenshots hereunder:

Figure 1: Planned Training (Other in Training Peaks) on Thursday, Do 09-March Schaatsen, is NOT UPLOADED into Edge 1030+

Figure 2: Planned Training (Running in Training Peaks) on Thursday, Do 09-March Schaatsen, is NOT UPLOADED into Edge 1030+

Figure 3: Planned Training (Cycling/Mountain biking in Training Peaks) on Thursday, Do 09-March Schaatsen, is UPLOADED into Edge 1030+

The exercise as such is only found in the list of Workouts but not properly scheduled.

This is a Major bug to me because the 'workaround' (programming everything as cycling) is faulty.

This in combination with the fact that every non-cycling exercise done with the Edge 1030+ is not accounted for in a proper way in Garmin Connect (no Training Effect for Winter Sports, Running, Power Training etc) makes the Edge 1030+ a very poor value for money device. I will raise a separate trouble ticket for that one.

Restore all URLs in Garmin Express, in the Edge 1030+ Firmware (v6.73) and in the Garmin Connect web app (v 4.64.0.12, 23.4.2.2) so that:

  1. All scheduled exercises of any kind of sports are visible in the Edge 1030+ Training Calendar;
  2. All exercises registered with the Edge 1030+ are properly added to Overall Training Effect, which is now completely missing in Garmin Connect. This is possible because the training effect is solely derived from Heart Rate.
