Garmin connect no longer showing all devices for Training Status

Since the last Garmin Connect update, I am no longer seeing my Garmin edge 1030 Plus in my training status. I only see my Fenix 6 pro solar. When I finish a ride, I get a productive training status on the edge, but the status on the connect is different. I sync both devices before and after the rides. This is such a drag, every time Garmin "screws" with it. Does anyone else have this problem and have you figured out a fix or work around? Thanks

  • Same problem here - I ride with my Edge 1030 plus multiple times a week, and it always gives me a training status with VO2 max on the head unit, but lately it has not shown up in Garmin Connect. From the browser version, if I go to the Training Status page, hit "6 months" instead of "4 weeks," the Edge will show up in the device dropdown, but the training statuses it generated during that time are missing. Already tried disabling and re-enabling Physio TrueUp. Now my cycling VO2 maxes (from the Edge) aren't being used to calculate my training status on my FR 255S either. Already reached out to support last week; no resolution yet. Definitely frustrating.

  • Another issue is I’m unable to select preferred wearable or preferred training device on web, iOS or the devices themselves. It’s incredible that for every update they put out, it completely disrupts how things are supposed to work. Don’t they have engineers that test these out? Or maybe have a troubleshooting page for the solutions. This has always been the Garmin way. I wish they would get their act together, because for the most part I love their products. I have most of them…..

  • In the Connect app, if you go to the list of garmin devices, select your wearable, then click the 3 dots in the upper right, do you see Manage device priority?

  • Yes, I’ve look there, all I get is remove device and cancel on all my devices.

  • It's only available if there is more than one wearable linked to the account. I only see it because there is an old watch still linked to my account

  • In the Garmin Connect App, under Performance -> Training Status -> Load -> Acute Load, it used to be possible to select which device's output was shown (in my case, the Edge 1030 Plus's "7 Day Load," or my Forerunner 255's "Acute Load." Now I can only view the Forerunner's output, and Training Statuses from the Edge are not visible in the browser version of Garmin Connect either (but they're definitely on the Edge itself). Its VO2 Max outputs (from the Edge) are synced up to GC, however they are not pushed to the Forerunner.

  • Hi Garmin-Maeve,

    I have since 2 years only a 1030+ Edge device.  The old device which was broken cannot be found in this prio list (of course).

    I also do not get any Overall Training Effect reported anymore.

    Also the Training Load focus (distribution over Anaerobic, High Aerobic and Low Aerobic which is solely based on heart rate) has totally disappeared since around less than a Month.

    Furthermore any exercise I did which was different than cycling, is left out of Overall Training Effect.

    So it seems there is a Major Major bug in Garmin Express, in the Back End part of GE which we users cannot see, the Edge FW (version 6.73 for E1030+) and the links defined in Garmin Connect which should take care for fetching all data from all Garmin devices and collecting & merging it into the right data bases for proper calculations of Training Load, Training Effect, Load Focus etc to display via Garmin Connect.

    This can be seen in the screenshot hereunder of the dashboard of my activities:

    That it's also totally wrong on my Edge device can be seen hereunder:

    So I kindly though very urgently ask you to contact the SW developers for:

    • The Edge devices;
    • Garmin Express + the back end data bases;
    • Garmin Connect

    To let them fix all major bugs currently present in all the afore mentioned SW-suites
