Hi, on the 1030+ does he navigation have the chevrons showing the direction of travel, like the 1040 and edge explore 2. Also is there much difference between the navigation quality between 1030+, 1040 and edge explore 2,

Yes, the 1030+ (and the 1030) has the chevrons.

The navigation on the 1030+ is better than the 1030. Don't know how it compares to the newer units.

The 1030plus is selling for a good discounted price at the moment. Looking to upgrade my old Edge Explore , as the battery on full navigation gets about 4hrs which isn't great. Navigation and battery life are the two most important things for me. 1030+ isn't that much more than new Edge Explore 2 and you get bigger screen and 24hrs battery. I was just trying to establish if there was much difference between navigation on 1030plus, 1040 and Edge 2?
